An All-Around Athlete







Sam attends Concordia University's Computer Science program in Montreal. He is a graduate of the 
prestigious Marianopolis College. 



I have been watching him for two years at the club where we work out.
I have also chatted with him on several occasions and was impressed.
He’s sociable, speaks several languages and is mature beyond his years.



When he’s on vacation, he’s constantly exercising in one way or another.
I was most impressed with the respect he has for his parents
and his gratitude for all that they do for him.

This is why I felt that I should interview him.



Here are my findings.

HOW OLD ARE YOU?
I am 17 years old.

WHY DO YOU EXERCISE?
I exercise to be fit, look good, and feel good.

DOES EXERCISING HELP YOU IN SCHOOL?
Exercise helps me clear my mind, which sets me in a good study mood.




HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN EXERCISING?
I have been exercising for as long as I can remember.


WHAT TYPE OF EXERCISES DO YOU DO?
To stay fit, I do high intensity interval training workouts on a daily basis.


ARE YOU INVOLVED IN ORGANIZED SPORTS?
I am a swimmer, and I used to be part of my high school basketball team.


DO YOU PREFER TEAM OR INDIVIDUAL SPORTS?
Both basketball and swimming are team sports for me,
because I was part of a swimming team.




WHY?
I prefer team sports because communication between teammates is something I strongly cherish, and that team sports depend on chemistry between players, and not who has the best player.


WHAT ARE YOUR CAREER PLANS?
I plan on becoming an industrial designer or a computer science engineer.



HOW MUCH SUPPORT DO YOUR PARENTS GIVE YOU
IN YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES?

They give me lots of support, advice, encouragement, as well as
setting up sport schedules from time to time.

DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL DIET?
My very high intensity workouts allow me to eat a higher amount of daily calories, but I always value quality over quantity, therefore I avoid processed sugars.



DO YOU HAVE A ROUTINE?
Yes I do, and that, is my little secret .

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY?


My favorite physical activity is swimming due to its various mental benefits as well as its full body workout which trains every single primary muscle.
